How the kanban sales board works
Each deal is a card on the board, placed in its current stage. Reps drag cards across as the conversation progresses — from "New" to "Proposal", then "Negotiation" and "Won". Stages are configurable without code: add, rename or reorder them to match your real sales process, and give each one a win probability. Unlike a shared spreadsheet, every rep works on the same board, and the manager sees at a glance where deals pile up.
"Rotting" deals: catch deals going cold
The biggest risk in a pipeline is the forgotten deal — the opportunity sitting for weeks in "Negotiation" with no activity. In 4softcrm you set, per stage, how many days a deal may stay there; when a card exceeds that threshold it is marked as rotting on the board. Reps see which deals need a call today, and the manager sees which opportunities are stuck, before they are lost to missing follow-up.
Multiple pipelines for different processes
New business doesn't go through the same stages as a renewal or a partnership. In 4softcrm you create separate pipelines, each with its own stages, probabilities and rotting thresholds. Each rep works in the relevant pipeline, and the weighted value is computed per pipeline, so the numbers for different processes don't get mixed.
Why the 4softcrm pipeline over HubSpot, Pipedrive or Salesforce
Pipedrive popularized the kanban board and charges per user. HubSpot offers a lot, but the price grows quickly with seats and add-ons. Salesforce is powerful but heavy to configure. 4softcrm gives you a visual kanban board, rotting deals, multiple pipelines, rule-based automations and quote documents in plans priced by team size, with data stored in the EU (GDPR-compliant) and as part of the 4b2b ecosystem — an invoice for a quote can be issued through 4invoices.
